This is the ESPN televised version of the end of the 2008 WSOP Main Event between Ivan Demidov and Peter Eastgate. Eastgate, at 22 years old won the event and $9,119,517. He won by beating Ivan Demidov on a hand where Demidov made two pair on the turn, while that same card gave Peter Eastgate a wheel. Beyond his 2nd place finish at the 2008 WSOP Main Event, Ivan Demidov also took down 3rd place at the WSOP Europe, for a combined winnings of a US converted $6,287,409. Of that amount, about a half million of it was for his 3rd place finish in the WSOP Europe, while the rest comes from his second place at the WSOP Main Event here in Las Vegas.
Peter Eastgate broke Phil Hellmuths record as the youngest winner of the WSOP Main Event. Hellmuth, who did it at the age of 24 wasn’t available for comment after the event ended. However, I’m pretty sure I saw him later that night walking north on Las Vegas Blvd drowning himself in a bottle of Cisco, swinging his shirt in the air, and screaming “I’m the greatest poker player in the world” to crowds of confused tourists.

Daniel also talks about an upcoming taping of Poker After Dark and the tough field of players except for the “sucker”, Phil Hellmuth. He also mentions partying with Antonio Esfandiari, getting plastered, and showing up to an airing of Poker After Dark hungover. It sounds like Daniel is adjusting to single life pretty well.

I know enough about women to know they rarely have anything to say that I want to hear anyway, I tend to drown them out. Scores Strip Club in Las Vegas sets a new world record by having something like 362 lap dances in one song - big deal, this video only shows one of them, a fully clothed girl on girl lap dance. What’s with RawVegas lately, losing their balls to show anything good? I’ve seen hotter lap dances at the geezer home down the road! Unfortunately this video doesn’t do the girls at Scores any justice, maybe they’ll make it up to us by sending some shower comps?!
This is a prop bet between Phil ‘The UnaBomber” Laak, and Gavin Smith for a measly $700 bucks! Gavin Smith has to fit 15 marshmallows on his mouth, with his lips shut. He has to do it in 150 seconds, and he isn’t allowed to drink any water or swallow any of the marshmallows. Phil’s girlfriend Jennifer Tilly is on hand, and Eric Seidel gets in on the action also, both of them betting against Gavin. You’ll have to watch to see if he can do it.
