Full Tilt Poker Mini FTOPS XIV
It’s that time again, time for the next installment of the Full Tilt Poker Mini FTOPS tournament series. Mini FTOPS #14 gets underway beginning on December 9th and running through the 20th, with 25 tournament events. As a smaller version of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS), the small buy-in amounts leave room for Christmas presents and a plump turkey.
Don’t let the small buy-ins fool you. The prize money that can be won is still huge. The smallest guaranteed prize pool is $30,000, with most tournaments promising $100,000 – $400,000. The Main Event has a guaranteed prize pool of $600,000, with a direct buy-in of just $50+5.

Full Tilt Mini FTOPS 14 Tournaments
Direct buy-ins to 23 of the 25 Full Tilt Mini FTOPS XIV tournaments range from $11 – $55. The only exceptions are event #12, a 6-max NL Hold’em tournament with a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool, and event #22 which is a $266, 2 day NL Hold’em tournament. This event has a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000. Players in event #22 will get 5000 chip starting stacks, and the blinds go up every 30 minutes. The whole thing begins on Wednesday, December 9th at 5pm ET. Event #1 is a $22, $250,000 guaranteed, 6-max NL Hold’em tournament. From there, most days will see two new tournament events being run. 17 of the tournaments will be some version of Texas Hold’em, and the others are a variety of Omaha, Stud, Razz and HORSE.
If you want a shot at turning the cost of a few beers into some really big money, play in Full Tilt Mini FTOPS event #7. If has a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000 and a very small buy-in of just $10+1. This is a rebuy tournament, but if you start off well you may not need to rebuy at all.
As a heads-up tournament player myself, event #9 has me all hot & bothered. Running on Sunday December 13th at 3pm ET, this is a NL Hold’em heads-up tournament with a $50+5 buyin and $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. I’ll be there for sure. Event #10 is another great NL Hold’em tournament. It has a direct buy-in of just $33, but a huge prize pool of $400,000. This tournament will be played at 5pm ET on Sunday, December 13th.
The Full Tilt Mini FTOPS 14 Main Event runs on Sunday, December 20th at 5pm ET. As mentioned above, the direct buy-in is $55 and the prize pool is guaranteed to be no less than $600,000. The top prize should be no less than $93,000, with well over 1000 players making the money.
